Equipment

  • 2 Small bowls
  • Spoon
  • Parchment paper
  • Freezer-safe container or baking sheet

Ingredients

  • 1 cup grapes 1 cup = ~150g; either green, red or black works
  • 1 tsp lemon or lime juice
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/4 - 1/2 tsp food-grade citric acid optional, but recommended

Instructions

  • Add 1 cup grapes to a small bowl. Drizzle with 1 tsp lemon or lime juice and toss until evenly coated.
  • In a separate small bowl, stir together 1 tbsp granulated sugar and 1/4 - 1/2 tsp food-grade citric acid (use more for extra sour flavour).
  • Roll each grape in the sugar mixture until fully coated. Arrange the grapes in a single layer on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet or freezer-safe container.
  • Freeze for at least 8 hours, or until fully firm.
  • Enjoy straight from the freezer!

Notes

Citric acid is optional, but it makes a big difference in the sour flavor.
Storage: Store in airtight containers or ziplock bags for up to 2 months. Enjoy straight from the freezer or let sit for a few minutes to soften slightly.
